Avoid your browser tabs closing accidentally.
The majority of the people that spend a large amount of time browsing over
Internet, be it for personal or for work purposes, end up having
lots of open tabs in their browser half way through a session. The tabs are generally webmail, social networks, search results and sites with the information that they were looking for. And the fact it, if we have lots of tabs open, we may
accidentally close one that we still hadn't visited or got the majority of contents from.
This can
end up being bothersome and cause us to lose lots of time, because more often than not, we will not have added it to our bookmarks, or we simply may not even have read it and are not sure as to its contents. This problem can easily be solved if you are a
Firefox user, because there is an
add-on that avoids it,
PermaTabs Mod.
This small plugin allows to
block the tabs of our choice with a simple
keyboard shortcut. What's more, it will allow us to differentiate between the tabs that are blocked and those that aren't by assigning them a different color to those of the rest. Thus, we will have to use the keyboard shortcut once again or they won't close.
What's more, PermaTab Mod
add various additional options to the contextual menu that we can access by right click on a tab, like “
PermaTab Home”, that will take us directly to a new home page, that we will have previously assigned in the add-ons options.
